Jack Kerr and Henry Kerr Memorial

The annual memorial singing for Jack Kerr and Henry Kerr was held on the second Sunday in January at Camp Ground Methodist Church. The class was called to order by B.J. Harris leading song on page 32t. Felton Denney led the morning prayer. B.J. Harris led song on page 503; Henry Johnson 278t; and Mary Florence Smith 176b and 75.

The class was organized with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Henry Johnson; Vice Chairman—Evelyn Harris; Secretary—Mary Florence Smith; Arranging Committee—Hester Edwards.

RECESS

Henry Johnson called the class back to order leading song on page 418. Leaders: Everette Denney 61, 63; Carlene Griffin 70t, 117; Max Berueffy 56t, 208; Eunice Webb 436, 569b; Jeff Sheppard 216 (in memory of Jack Kerr), 140; Winford Kerr and Lois Bowman 339 (for all the members of the Kerr families).

Lois Bowman thanked all those who came to sing and make this day special for the descendants of the Kerr family. All of the descendants of the Kerr family were asked to stand, and they led song on page 274t for all the deceased members of the Kerr family. Hugh McGraw led song on page 55 in memory of Mattie Kerr Perry and song on page 54.

LUNCH

Announcements were made. Henry Johnson led song on page 46 as the closing song. The pastor of the church, Rev. John Childs, dismissed the class with prayer.
