The annual DeLong Memorial Sacred Harp singing was opened with Chairman Richard DeLong leading songs on pages 32t and 60. Louis Hughes, Sr. offered the morning prayer.

Richard DeLong conducted the memorial lesson. The flowers placed in the church today are in memory of Dollie Hudgins and Uncle Jack Corley. The deceased remembered were as follows: Carrie D’Andrea, Pat D’Andrea, Cecil Edwards, Ernestine Hendrix, Harold White, infant Jacob Lloyd, Mary Lou Cagle, Herman Thomason, Jack Smith, and Uncle Jack Corley. Richard DeLong shared fond remembrances of those we are remembering today and led song on page 123b for Uncle Jack Corley and 348b.

Ruth Brown led song on page 340 for the sick and shut-ins and challenged us, in the coming weeks, to call, send a card, or visit a shut-in. We especially want to remember Alice Edwards as she recovers from surgery. Elder Jesse Roberts shared memories of Uncle Jack Corley and Mary Lou Cagle with the class and then closed the memorial with prayer.
