The Fox Valley Folk Festival Singing opened at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2001, in the pavilion of Island Park in Geneva, Illinois, as part of the Fox Valley Folk Festival. Ted Mercer opened the singing by welcoming everyone and then led song on page 40.

A brief business meeting was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Herb Schroeder; Secretary—Debbie Barford; Arranging Committee—Dean Slaton.
