The annual Sacred Harp singing held in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Myers and W.A. Parker was called to order by Marlin Beasley leading songs on pages 32 (t? b?) and 33b. The morning prayer was led by Glenn Keeton.

The class was organized by electing or appointing the following officers: Chairman—Marlin Beasley; Vice Chairman—Ann Ballard; Secretary—Nora Parker; Arranging Committee—Travis Keeton.

RECESS

A memorial lesson was held in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Myers and W.A. Parker. The daughters of Joe Myers (Elsie Beasley, Martha Fredrick, Merlie Powell, and Thelma Crocker) and Marlin Beasley led songs on pages 192 and 45 (t? b?). Marlin Beasley led songs on pages 277 and 373 in memory of W.A. Parker and song on page 147 (t? b?) in memory of Velero Joe McCullars.

LUNCH

The afternoon session resumed with Ann Ballard leading songs on pages 35 and 48t. Marlin Beasley and Ann Ballard led song on page 421 as the closing song. The class was dismissed with prayer led by Lavaughn Ballinger.

This singing was well attended by the community. The church had been painted, and they welcomed all the singers to come sing each year on the fourth Sunday in October.
