The annual all day Sacred Harp singing at Poplar Springs Baptist Church was held on the fourth Sunday in May. B.M. Smith called the class to order leading 59. Mary Lambert Smith offered the morning prayer. B.M. Smith led 82 (t? b?), 81 (t? b?); Miranel Swafford 155; Charlene Wallace 171, 217.

Mary Lambert Smith conducted the memorial lesson with the following deceased remembered: Gladys Woods Enterkin, Carrie Garner, Everette Denney, Kenneth DeLong, Ruth Brown, Bernard Swafford, Ruby Adams, Clarence Lambert, and Vivian Rogers. Mary Lambert Smith led 348b in memory of the deceased and 426t in honor of the sick and shut-ins. Rev. Mike Benefield closed the memorial and offered the blessing on the noon meal.
