The twenty-fourth annual Sacred Harp singing at Oxford City Hall was called to order by Warren Steel leading 48t. Mark Davis offered the morning prayer. Mark Tew led 108t and 139.

The class was organized by electing or appointing the following officers to serve: Chairman—Warren Steel; Vice Chairman—Mark Tew; Secretary—John Merritt; Arranging Committee—Brenda Merritt and Lisa Geist.

A memorial lesson was held for singers and loved ones departed in the past year. Leon Ballinger and Max Berueffy led 424 in memory of: Lavaughn Ballinger, Alonzo Malone, and Bruce Randolph. Mark Tew led 285t in memory of W.T. Wortham and Walter Wade. Earl Ballinger closed the memorial with prayer.
