The ninetieth session of the Walker County Convention was held at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Walker County, Alabama on Saturday before the third Sunday in July. Velton Chafin brought the class to order leading 31b and 39b. Marlin Beasley offered the morning prayer.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Velton Chafin; Vice Chairman—Glenn Keeton; Secretary—Brenda Merritt; Arranging Committee—Billy Williams; Memorial Committee—Josie Hyde and Marlin Beasley.

Josie Hyde conducted the memorial lesson and led 129 for the deceased. Those remembered were: Bruce Randolph, J.C. Hardin, Clearcy Rutledge, Dessie Goodman, Mavis Price, Crystal Crocker, Elvin Guthrie, A.A. Malone, Lebron Hinton, Willie Carolyn Denson, E.R. Graves, and F.L. Parnell.

Marlin Beasley led 480 for the sick and shut-ins: Gladys Bonds, Elsie Beasley, Cecile Cox, John Hocutt, Cassie Franklin, L.E. Hannah, Ruth Aaron, Vicky Aplin, and Sherry Guthery. The memorial was closed.
