The 2nd annual Sacred Harp singing held at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church on the second Saturday in September was called to order by Robert Vaughn at 10:00 a.m. leading 264b (?). The book used was The B.F. White Sacred Harp, Cooper Revision, in the morning session. The morning prayer was offered by Elder Joe Asbell.

RECESS

Robert Vaughn called the class back to order leading 30t. Leaders: Peggy Ray 507b, 463, 47t; Frank Walsh 152; Sonya Kirkham 47b;Joe Asbell 60; Peggy Ray 135; Robert Vaughn 511t, 511b. Bruce Ray closed the morning session with prayer and offered the blessing for the noon meal.

LUNCH

The book used in the afternoon session was The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition. Robert Vaughn called the afternoon session back to order leading 30t. Robert Vaughn led 35 as the closing song. A short business meeting was held where it was decided to change the date to the Saturday before the first Sunday in September to avoid conflict with other singings on the current date.

Following announcements, the closing prayer was offered by Robert Vaughn, and the class was dismissed.
