The annual homecoming Sacred Harp singing held at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church on the first Sunday in May was called to order by Eugene Forbes leading 32t. The opening prayer was offered by Jack Nelson.

The following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Eugene Forbes; Secretary—Jenny Acton; Arranging Committee—Myrline Redmon.

RECESS

The class was brought back together by Eugene Forbes leading 100. A memorial lesson was held at this time. Myrline Redmon led 45t for the following deceased: Elder Kenneth Perry, Williard Frederick, Lee Rodgers, Oma Baker, Lora Kelly, and John Etheridge. She led 378t in memory of the Wallace Family.

Eugene Forbes led 340 in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: John Plunkett, Lonnie Rogers, Mary Frances Forbes, Vernelle Amason, Maudie Frederick, and Betty Perry. The memorial lesson was closed.

LUNCH

Announcements were made. Eugene Forbes led 62 as the closing song. Roy Nelson offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
