The annual Sacred Harp singing held at New Hope Church on the fourth Sunday in June was called to order by Butch White leading 31t and 566. He then offered the morning prayer.

Leaders: Rachel Allred 317, 278t; Ercyl Vidrine 32t, 111t.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Butch White; Secretary—Geraldine Sharpton.

Leaders: Margie Lee 72b; Geraldine Sharpton 452, 66; Will Allred 146, 59; Nancy Tuck 159, 388.

RECESS

The class was brought back to order by Butch White leading 39t and 480. Leaders: Susan Allred 76b, 73t; Caleb Allred 47b; Essie Hollingsworth 143, 164. The church finance chairman, Reuben Williams, gave a report on the finances of the church and cemetery. He also gave an update on the status of the repair work on the building. Gene Sharpton offered the blessing for the noon meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session was called to order by Butch White leading 56t. Butch White led 63 as the closing song. The closing prayer was offered by Kenneth Fannin, and the class was dismissed.
