The annual Sacred Harp singing held at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church on the fourth Sunday in September was called to order by J.L. Hopper leading 49t and 31b. He offered the morning prayer.

In a business meeting, the following officers were elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—B.M. Smith; Vice Chairman—Milford Cobbs; Secretary and Arranging Officer—Rodney Ivey.
