The annual all-day session of the Mount Pisgah Singing Society (organized in 1903) met at Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, and was called to order by Karen Clark at 9:00 a.m. leading 31b. Louis Hughes offered the morning prayer. Karen Clark welcomed everyone to the singing, and then led 70t (in memory of her father-in-law, Harvey L. Clark, who passed away on Monday, May 20).

The officers of the singing are as follows: President—Karen Clark; 1st Vice President—David Lee; 2nd Vice President—Fred Hoerr; Secretary—Donna Bell; Arranging Officer—Laura Densmore.

Bill Adams presented Don Clark a hand-made wooden replica of the 1881 Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church building. Mr. Adams used a note card invitation from the 175th Anniversary Celebration held in September, 2012, as a reference to build the replica. Don expressed tremendous gratitude for the special gift, and stated the replica would be displayed in the foyer of the building.

RECESS

The second session of singing was brought to order by David Lee leading 76b. Leaders: Sue Bunch 516; Larry Wootten 283; Nate Green and Norma Green 559.

Don Clark recognized Bonnie Anglin Reynolds, age 96, from Talladega, Alabama. Both of Mrs. Reynolds’s parents were charter members of Mount Pisgah Singing Society when organized in 1903.
