The 4th annual Central Pennsylvania Sacred Harp All-Day Singing was held at the Progress Grange Hall on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in July. The class was called to order by Kevin Sims leading 435. G.C. Waldrep offered the opening prayer.

The following officers were appointed to serve: Chairman—Kevin Sims; Vice Chairman—B.C. Condon-Gill; Treasurer—Steve Sherrill; Secretary—Timothy Wheeler.

Hal Kunkel welcomed the class and mentioned the tragic accident the previous week that resulted in the death of 18-month old Evelyn Steinruck at the Exeter singing. He noted that in the Sacred Harp tradition, we gather to share our burdens as we share our joys.

After reports from the Arranging Committee, the Treasurer, and the Secretary, Kevin Sims thanked Betsy Gamble and the kitchen crew, as well as the myriad volunteers, who had made the singing a success. Following announcements, he led 347 as the closing song. G.C. Waldrep offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
