The annual J.D. Starnes Memorial Sacred Harp Singing was held at Mt. Hope Baptist Church on the first Sunday in February. The class was called to order by Ken Tate leading 73b. The morning prayer was offered by Rev. Patrick Watson.

The class was organized by electing or appointing the following officers: Chairman—Ken Tate; Vice Chairman—Danny Creel; Secretary—Wanda Capps; Arranging Officer—Ann Jett.

The class was brought to order by Ken Tate leading 114. Rev. Patrick Watson welcomed everyone, took prayer requests, and then offered the blessing.

LUNCH

Ken Tate led 271t, and then a business session was held. The class discussed the future of this singing, and it was decided that the J.D. Starnes Memorial Singing would be discontinued.
