The 22nd annual Conference of the Society for American Music Sacred Harp Singing, held at Gordon Chapel of Old South Church, was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Ron Pen offering opening remarks, and leading 479 in honor of William Billings, who convened a singing school at this site. Song selections were from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Edition.

The Society for American Music Singing is scheduled in conjunction with the Society’s annual conference; the date and site of the meeting vary each year. The 2017 singing will be held in Montreal, Canada.
