The Sacred Harp singing held on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in May at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church was called to order by J.L. Hopper leading 311. Nicholas Thompson offered the morning prayer.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Judy Caudle. She spoke and led 472 in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Steve Adams, Kermit Adams, Lily Hopper, Nancy Thompson, Earlis McGraw, Susan Harcrow, Janelle Davis, Elsie Moon, Eloise Wootten, Ercyl Vidrine, Norman Crider, and Kenneth Fannin.

Judy spoke and led 459 in memory of the following deceased: Aunt Bera Bradford, Ben Bradford, Hester Edwards, Fred Killingsworth, Sandra Spradlin, and those who died on the Egyptian Air plane crash. Nicholas Thompson closed the memorial lesson with prayer.
