The memorial lesson was conducted by Judy Caudle and Samuel Sommers. Judy Caudle read a devotional from the writings of Charles H. Spurgeon in honor of the following sick and shut-ins: Velton Chafin, Johnnie Chafin, Ottis Sides, Willodean Barton, Keillor Mose, Chris Holley, Frances Sasser, Concetta Branson, Karen Rollins, Eloise Wootten, Daphene Causey, Sharon DuPriest, and Aline Summerlin. She led 437.

Samuel Sommers asked Nathan Rees to speak of Hugh McGraw. Nathan briefly told of the relationship between Mr. McGraw and the singing community in the Henagar area.

Samuel Sommers spoke in remembrance of the deceased, and read the following list of names: Kermit Adams, Steve Adams, Gravis Ballinger, Toney Smith, Lavoy Smith, Levon Wootten, and Gary Smith—Alabama; Johnny Lee, Delorese Lee, Hugh McGraw, B.M.
