The 88th session of the Mississippi State Sacred Harp Singing Convention was called to order by Mark Davis leading 100. Arlon Gardner offered the opening prayer. Mark Davis welcomed everyone to the convention, and thanked Alfred Bailey and Antioch Primitive Baptist Church for hosting the convention.

The Sunday Session of the Mississippi State Convention was called to order by Mark Davis leading 313t. He welcomed everyone to the convention. Arlon Gardner opened the service with prayer. Mark Davis appointed Nicholas Thompson and Jane Armstrong to the Memorial Committee.
