On the first Sunday in September, the annual Shiloh-Little Vine Sacred Harp singing was held at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church south of Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia. Cecil Roberts called the class to order at 10:00 a.m. by leading 60. Daniel Williams offered the opening prayer.

Leaders: Cecil Roberts 82t; Nathan Rees 274t, 70t; Donna Bell 426b, 82b; Judy Chambless 530, 66; Glenda Collins 100, 101t; Joyce Lambert 82t (in memory of her mother, Katherine Benefield), 56t (in memory of her daddy, Elder Homer Benefield); Samuel Williams 475, 68t; Bert Collins 340, 63; Esther Williams 175, 230; Robby Rivers and Richard DeLong 480, 373.

RECESS

Nathan Rees brought the class back to order leading 57. Leaders: Winfred Kerr 89, 40; Gary Davis 426t, 565; Robert Chambless 225t, 75; Daniel Williams 472, 216; Jack Nelson 157, 147b; Richard DeLong 57, 214; Marilyn Bradley 34t, 58.

Judy Chambless conducted the memorial lesson. She shared some of her personal experiences with those named on the sick and shut-ins list, remarking that each have a positive outlook on life despite their circumstances. The sick and shut-ins honored were Ruth Daniel, Karen Rollins, and Virginia Dyer. Julia Laverack was remembered on the deceased list. Judy Chambless led 389 for both the sick and shut-ins and the deceased. Robert Chambless closed the memorial lesson with prayer.

A business session was held with the following officers elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Cecil Roberts; Vice Chairman—Nathan Rees; Secretary—Donna Bell; Arranging Officer—Judy Chambless.

Leaders: Richard DeLong 294 (in honor of Mildred Patterson, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday), 358. Jack Nelson offered the blessing of the noon meal at the tables.

Announcements were made. Cecil Roberts, Nathan Rees, Donna Bell, and Judy Chambless led 62 as the closing song. Cecil Roberts offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
