The 115th session of The United Sacred Harp Musical Association met at Holly Springs Primitive Baptist Church, on the second Sunday and Saturday before in September. Nathan Rees called the class to order. He welcomed those in attendance, and led 31t. Henry Johnson offered the opening prayer.

Nathan Rees welcomed the class and gave some historical information about the United Convention being established in 1905 by Joe James, and this year was the first time the United had been held at Holly Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Nathan led 313t as the opening song. Philip Denney offered the opening prayer.

The memorial lesson was conducted by Kathy Williams and Nicholas Thompson. Kathy began by saying the memorial lesson makes her think of people we miss who are unable to sing. Kathy remembered a time when she was not able to attend singings. She talked about reading the cards that were sent to her during that time, over and over like a novel. Kathy read the following list of names of the sick and shut-ins: Ottis Sides, Linda Sides, Eugene Forbes, Don Bowen, Velton Chafin, Brenda Chafin, Allen Lambert, Ann Jett, Virginia Douglas, Kelsey Taylor, Frank DeBolt, Cindy Mann, Paul Wilson, Norma Mincey, Karen Rollins, and Anne Chalker. Kathy led 33b in their honor.

Nicholas talked about those who are no longer with us may not fill our benches, but forever fill our hearts. Nicholas spoke about the memorial lesson being a time we remember those we loved and cared for, remembering a song they liked or a dish they prepared. He said remembering those tidbits keep them in our hearts. A business session was held to hear committee reports. The Secretary reported that all expenses were paid. The Arranging Committee reported one hundred and seventy-three leaders for both days. The Resolutions Committee resolved to thank all of the officers and committees for their dedication and service, those who prepared plentiful and delicious food, the use of the church, the preparations behind the scenes, and resolved to meet again for the one hundredth and sixteenth session in 2019. The Location Committee reported that no requests for next year were submitted, and that a location will be announced at a later date. All reports were accepted, and the business session was closed.

The officers led 62 as the closing song. Shane Wootten offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
