The 24th annual session of the Joe Beasley Memorial Sacred Harp Singing was held on the fourth Sunday and Saturday before in December. The class was called to order by Richard Schmeidler leading 66. Marlin Beasley offered the opening prayer.

LUNCH

The memorial lesson was held at this time. Lisa Geist spoke on behalf of the following sick and shut-ins: Bunk Beasley, Charlene Wallace, John Beasley, Velton Chafin, Brenda Chafin, Ozella Blackmon, Loretta Whitman, Roy Davis, Ottis Sides, and Wayne Wakefield. She led 472.

Nicholas Thompson spoke in memory of the following deceased: Freddie Briggs—Florida; Daphene Causey, Glenda Hopper, Lilly Hopper, and Willodean Barton—Alabama; Darrell Swarens—Indiana; Steve Helwig—Oregon; Louise Holland—Georgia. He led 544. Earl Ballinger closed the memorial service with prayer.
