The annual Sacred Harp singing held at New Hope Church on the fourth Sunday in June was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Christopher Mann leading 56t and 31t. Butch White offered the opening prayer.

In a business session, the following officers were elected: Chairman—Christopher Mann; Vice Chairman—Anna Grace Sipe; Secretary—Linda Booth. Leaders: Christopher Mann 47t; Butch White 31b, 49b, 49t; Buell Cobb 77t, 65; Cindy Mann 159, 145b; Geraldine Sharpton 421, 452; Linda Booth 76b.

RECESS

The class was called back together by Christopher Mann leading 32t. Leaders: Tom Booth 36b, 37b; Butch White 86, 448t; Buell Cobb 87, 147t; Cindy Mann 274t, 127; Sonja Sipe 30b, 63; Geraldine Sharpton 496; Linda Booth 358, 313b. Ruben Williams gave an update on the status of the cemetery and recent improvements on the building, and thanked all the singers for coming. An offering was taken. Butch White returned thanks before the main meal.

LUNCH

The afternoon session began with Christopher Mann leading 569b. Announcements were made. Christopher Mann led 45t as the closing song. Butch White offered the closing prayer, and the class was dismissed.
