The first Cocoa Beach All-Day Shape Note Singing from The Sacred Harp (1991) was called to order by Rachel Speer leading 59. The first hour of the day was a singing school, which began with Rachel leading the class in singing a major scale from page 18, followed by 45t, 49t, and 284. Dean Jens led a minor scale from page 18, followed by 159 and 276. Miriam Delirium led 448t. Rachel led 421, and concluded the singing school.

RECESS

Dean Jens called the class back together by leading 28t. Leaders: Dean Jens 565; Miriam Delirium 47t, 39t; Jessica Bellaire 128, 76t; Lorie Wacaster 183, 503; Marja Millard 163b, 282; Rachel Speer 65, 312b; Lynn Healey 277; Ellen Fournier 58, 178; Vik Slen 66, 48b. Zach Cole offered a prayer to bless the midday meal.
